We strive to partner with suppliers in neighboring states within the New England region, and we prioritize ground shipments over air to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

PAPERLESS WORKFLOWS

We implemented cloud based technologies to reduce paper consumption in quality management, commercial, manufacturing, and warehouse operations.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY

Our manufacturing facility is outfitted with LED lighting, and a substantial source of power consumption is generated by roof-mounted solar panels.

FUEL REDUCTION

1 in 7 of regular, full-time employees operate on a hybrid schedule. The annual cumulative impact saves over 420 gallons of gasoline, which is is equivalent to 3.7 metric tons of carbon dioxide in terms of greenhouse gas.

ROBUST RECYCLING

Programs have been put into place to handle the recycling of metal, PCBs, and batteries. 100% of all returned products are recycled, and lithium-ion batteries go through a reclamation program.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Belmont to date has donated 100 buddy lite® portable blood and fluid warmers as well as 20 rapid infusers to Ukraine to help save the lives of those injured during the ongoing conflict.

GIVING BACK

To show our commitment to giving back to the community, we've teamed up a local hospital to host an annual blood donation drive right outside our headquarters in Billerica, MA.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our employees and the diligent staff from Mass General Hospital’s Bloodmobile, our first annual blood drive on June 11^th, 2024, resulted in blood collected from 54 individual donors. Each donation plays a critical role in hospitals, bringing new life to patients experiencing massive blood loss and assuring hospitals in our community have a ready supply of donor blood on hand. Saving Lives. Together. We mean it.

Battery Recycling Program

The lithium-ion rechargeable batteries we use in our buddy lite® line of portable blood and fluid warmers are eligible to be recycled through the Call2Recycle® program. Simply drop-off the battery to a participating collection site near you. Visit www.call2recycle.org/locator to find your nearest collection site.
