REGAIN CONTROL DURING OBSTETRIC HEMORRHAGE

Obstetric emergencies involving severe PPH often lead to unpredictable challenges for obstetric providers. During these times, providers should have access to systems and equipment designed with the goal of preventing adverse clinical outcomes.

Unmatched Performance

We understand delays in transfusion can mean the difference between a life saved or life lost, that’s why our rapid infuser offers near instantaneous fluid warming using electromagnetic induction with selectable flow rates up to 1 L/min so you can overcome even the most severe uterine blood loss.

Patient Safety Focused

We raise the standard of care with built-in safety features designed to protect against common transfusion complications, including automatic air detection and removal to prevent air emboli and automatic line pressure monitoring to reduce the risk of vessel trauma. On-screen descriptions of alarms and alerts and real-time procedure metrics provide an added layer of patient safety awareness during massive transfusion.

New Standards for Reducing Maternal Mortality

As of January 1st, 2021, The Joint Commission implemented new standards aimed to improve maternal hemorrhage care. Maintaining a massive transfusion protocol (MTP) is a key component to these new standards1. The AABB® recommends that “All patients undergoing massive transfusion should receive blood through either moderate or very high-flow throughput devices” to ensure both proper warming and delivery of blood2. Be prepared to meet the new standards with The Belmont® Rapid Infuser RI-2!

Testimonials

“Switched from the Level 1 to the Belmont Rapid Infuser… We purchased two, one for our main O.R. and one for Obstetrics. We have already used it in a case requiring more than 32 units of blood. It was flawless and clean.”
